North Carolina panel delays kill insurance bill
A North Carolina House Insurance Committee delay jeopardizes a bill to loosen control of insurance rates. Senate sponsor Carl Totherow warned the bill may not reach the floor until the House version is finalized. Insurance Commissioner John Ingram called the measure dangerous and urged a federal overview.
