Mrs Ben Fitzhugh of Vicksburg Mississippi co medalist rested the old south hopes and faced Mrs Tom Wallace of Sapulpa Oklahoma while Mrs Walter Beyer of Tulsa Oklahoma and Mrs Ralph Randolph of Dallas Texas met in the other semi. Fitzhugh defeated Margaret Maddox of Atlanta to reach the semis and Beyer beat Mrs Dave Gant of Memphis 4 and 3. Wallace defeated Mrs Leon Solomon of Memphis with a score in the low eighties.
