Tar Heel truckers win broader commercial zones around towns

Oppenheimer Board Debates Reinstatement After Charges
The AEC board considered reinstating J. Robert Oppenheimer but cited four controlling factors: possible security risk, susceptibility to influence, problematic conduct on the H bomb program, and lack of candor during hearings. A 24 charge FBI investigation included alleged Communist ties and opposition to the H bomb. The Atomic Scientists of Chicago called the board’s recommendation unfortunate and disturbing.
