Miss Colleen McKinney bride elect was honored Tuesday evening at 406 Willowwood Drive by Miss Betty Griffith and Mrs H Lee Briles. She received a corsage of cymbidium orchids and monogrammed towels and an electric clock as gifts. A scrapbook was made for the guest of honor and refreshments were served after gift presentation. The mother Mrs F N McKinney attended. The wedding to Namie Harriss is set for Saturday at Calvary Methodist Church.

Mrs Ney Norman of 1303 Emery St. underwent surgery at High Point Memorial Hospital. She may receive visitors.
Myrna Loy, famed for film roles as a model wife, obtained an uncontested quickie divorce in Juarez, Mexico, from producer Howland Sargeant. Loy cited incompatibility. the pair, married in 1951, had been separated about two years after a property settlement signed in New York last month.
