Lily Pons Builds Chinese Palace in California
Lily Pons commissioned California designer Harold Grieve to furnish a palm Springs home on a San Jacinto Mountains ridge. The residence features an oriental theme with burnt orange doors, black iron lock plates, hand tufted initials on a rug, and colors echoing a Chinese aesthetic across a contemporary stucco exterior and cypress roof detailing.
