Underworld USA by Joseph F Dineen review overview
A critical note on Underworld USA tracing a crime syndicate across regions including early bootlegger Early Connors. It follows Fingers Nolan and a national crime network mentoring 25,000 in gambling fighting clubs and robberies while portraying leaders as resourceful rather than insensate. The review notes humor and the theme that crime can pay.
