Moody Ends Key Roles in Guthrie Racing Team
Ralph Moody, co founder of Holman and Moody in Charlotte, has parted company with driver Janet Guthrie and car owner Lynda Ferreri. Moody says he gave up his team manager duties as the trio ends their partnership amid lingering tensions. Guthrie, first woman to race on a super speedway, ran 15th in the 1976 World 600, with the split occurring between July 4 and July 16 events.
