Man builds community park in Waldo with $10,000 saved funds

Bob Adams, 30, rebuilt a park on three acres near a busy Waldo intersection after his house burned in March. He diverted $10,000 from savings and nine months of spare time to install slides, benches, and a fire truck play area, calling it Brotherly Love Park. He hired Rudolph Stephens, unemployed on welfare, to help construction and now pays him $100 monthly to maintain the park. The project ran without public funds, drawing donations to support upkeep while Adams says local government forewent help.
