Thirsty Town Gets Water
In Boy New Mexico water flowed into homes for the first time in more than five days after villagers installed a new pump. Mayor Robert Keirsey says payment for the pump remains to be solved but the town will manage. A leaky seven mile main and two faulty pumps caused a storage tank to run dry last week. Roy could not transfer earmarked funds for the project and state aid was unavailable. About 750 residents worked Sunday to patch leaks and install the pump.
