Alans Ordered to Discard the Robes
In Atlanta Georgia last night orders from the Ku Klux Klan imperial palace directed all klans to abandon the white mask and gown except in lodge secrecy. The move comes after Edward Young Clarke acting imperial wizard and Governor Thomas M Hardwick exchanged letters in which Clarke said Georgia klans would stop using the hood and gown. The action marks a political win for Hardwick who opposed invisable government and rejected Klan requirements for all members to wear the white robes.
