Bald eagle nest tragedy spurs Oregon logger to speak out
Bob Zink, a Oregon logger, recalls finding an eagle nest that was later crushed by Crown Zellerbach clear-cutting. The injured nest produced no young last year but the pair rebuilt and raised two eaglets this spring. He criticizes the company for a $5,000 grant to eagle research as a whitewash and calls for stronger penalties.
