Fort Worth Texas July 24 two lieutenants Donald I Chariton of Sulphur Springs Texas and Ival Eugene Cinnerheim of Schenectady New York were instantly killed when their airplane fell in a tail spin at Taliaferro field.

P P Leventis and company of Gastonia were fined by the North Carolina Food Administration after a hearing with Henry A Page. They paid 9500 to the Gastonia Red Cross and closed their restaurant for a week. The firm stored large sugar quantities and filed an erroneous sugar allotment, triggering distribution of excess sugar to other Gastonia dealers.
Greensboro July 24 police arrested Jenae Hall a white man in a local junk shop on the charge of being a slacker. His wife said they separated after a dispute and reported him to police claiming he dodged a government questionnaire. Hall denied receiving a questionnaire and said he lost his registration card. The wife claimed he tore up the card. He was held at the lockup pending investigation.
Public auction of Jet No. 18 in block 70 of the People Realty plot known as Snow Park in Greensboro in Guilford County North Carolina. The sale follows a decree in the matter of Mrs J I Gerringer administratrix of C D Gerranger deceased versus Martha Bell Gerringerr et al. The date on file is June 17 1918 and the commissioner is Mrs B L Gerrringer with W P Ragan as attorney.
An administrator notice reports W P Ragan as administrator of Jonathan H Alexander late of Guilford County North Carolina. Creditors are directed to exhibit claims to the administrator by May 22 1919 or be barred. The notice is dated May 22 1918.
Mr C E ison applies to Neense city council to operate a motion picture show for colored people at the northeast corner of Washington street and Centennial avenue. The council will consider the license at the regular meeting on Tuesday night July 9 at 8 o'clock. Residents opposed to the license may appear and be heard. Dated July 3, 11s. T J Murphy City Mayor.
