Council Advances Specific Anti Nudity Ordinance
Winter City Council considers a new ordinance to ban nude pictures on screens within city limits citing a North Carolina Supreme Court ruling. Pointer Drive-In owner Vincent Furio has faced prior convictions and protests over films shown at the Greensboro Road venue. If approved, the measure would take effect within 20 days and align with obscenity law as explained by City Attorney Knox Walker.
