Revival and Mission News At Union Cross And Nearby Churches
Revival services begin Sunday and run through July 19 at Union Cross Baptist Mission with Rev Fred L Kelley of Camp's Creek Baptist Church Gaffney South Carolina as speaker. Music director will be Rev Jimmy D Hinson. Services at 745 each night in Union Cross School Gym between High Point and Winston Salem on highway 311. Union Cross Mission started in 1956 under Waughtown Baptist Church sponsorship. During two years membership rose in Sunday school from 44 to 22 percent and church membership from 21 to 90. The Rev Hinson has pastored the mission since September 1956. Also, Evyn Adams and wife missionaries to Hokkaido Japan will give a special service at Mitchell's Grove Methodist Tuesday at 730 p.m. Slides will illustrate mission work and Japanese life. Adams family is on extended leave to receive further training. A fellowship supper will precede the service in the church educational building. Paul Jester directs a Training Union program on Church Membership at Conrad Memorial Baptist Monday through Friday at 730 with classes for all ages and The Training Union Manual as text. Teachers include Mrs Hutto Emerywood Baptist Junior, Marlene Fairfax First Baptist Intermediate, Clyde Tucker Reavis Memorial Youth, and James R DeLoach Conrad Memorial Adult. UNION ADDRESSES The Rev William Bennett will address Piedmont Baptist Women's Missionary Union at Lakewood Assembly Grounds Thursday at 10 a.m. He pastors Greensboro 16th Street Baptist and has recently returned from a six week tour of Egypt Europe and the Far East. A picnic lunch will follow.

Beirut Rebels Charge Through US Property
