Blackberry Juice Spills After Wreck Near Winston

Irvin Williams and Ed Mc Keever were bound over to Superior court on charges of highway robbery after probable cause was found by Judge Teacue. They allegedly gave knockout drops in whiskey to D. W. Mears and robbed him of 80 dollars last Saturday night. Carl Steele testified for the state and received four months on the roads for violating the prohibition law. Kermit Torrence also drew 90 days for prohibition violations.

Thieves Take Ton Of Sugar From High Point Store
Thieves broke into the High Point Provision store on English Street in West End last night and carried away about 20 bags, or a ton, of sugar. Authorities believe bootleggers planned to use the sugar for liquor production. police are investigating.

Two Divorces Filed Here Yesterday
Two actions for divorce were filed with the clerk of the municipal court yesterday afternoon. Both were upon grounds of two years separation. Suit was filed by William W. Mapp against Ellen Mapp, and an action was started by William Elwood Furr against Annie Rhodes Farr. Suit was also filed by the Southern Oil Company of North Carolina against A. L. Smith to recover 246.80 alleged to be due upon a demand note issued in May.
