Judge Charged With Assault On His Wife in Whiteville
WHITEVILLE NC AP State District Court Judge O Wilton Hunt was released on his own recognizance after being charged with assaulting his wife Joyce. The warrant was issued Friday after consultation with Chief 13th District Court Judge Ray H Walton and Judge Lewis Sauls. Mrs Hunt alleges hair pulled to bald spot a half dollar size, being pushed over furniture bruises to foot and arm and broken stitches from breast surgery July 7. Hunt's trial is set for Thursday with no judge yet assigned.
