First Lieutenant Edward T. Berlinsky a former North Carolina State football star and Bloomfield High School assistant coach has been listed by the War Department as a POW in Germany. His wife Dorothy learned of his capture in May and a letter from him arrived from Germany two weeks ago. Berlinski, 28, served in a North Africa tank unit and played for NC State in 1935 36 37 and with the Newark Bears in 1941 before entering active service in January 1942.
