The Fair Grove Methodist Episcopal church near Thomasville will be dedicated next Sunday with an all day service. Donations funded the new building including 10000 from Congressman J Walter Lambeth in memory of John W Lambeth and 2500 from the Duke endowment fund. Poison dose proves fatal for young woman
Alberta Loflin 22 of 1102 Cassell street died at Guilford General hospital after apparently ingesting about three ounces of a poisonous disinfectant. Police say the death appears self-inflicted. she visited Essie Robbins at 1218 Cassell street, went to the kitchen alone, and was found on the floor with an empty three-ounce bottle nearby.

Brandon Sues for Damages Over Demolished Car in High Point
In High Point municipal court Henry M. Brandon Jr. sues Lloyd Royal and Woodrow Buie for 850 dollars claiming Royal, driver for Buie, wrecked and demolished Brandon's car while delivering it. Royal allegedly was under 16 and without a license. Other filings include E. M. Bowles suing I. O. Paine for 2009 dollars over injuries on a building site and a divorce action by Mary Withers against Ambrose Withers.
