Bible School Closes With Program At Gospel Tabernacle

On Sunday night at 8 o clock the Daily Vacation Bible School at Gospel Tabernacle Willowbrook will close with a program by boys and girls. Pastor Rev H P Williams notes strong interest. Miss Marlene Lowe church secretary led the school this year. Eight classes participate and certificates will be given to enrollees after the service.

Reverend Don Payne to Speak at First Presbyterian

Reverend Don A Payne will be guest minister at First Presbyterian Church Sunday at 11 oclock. His sermon topic is Awake Thou That Sleepest. Payne studied at Asbury College Kentucky and High Point College and has served the Methodist church before becoming pastor of the West Randolph charge.

Micro-photography speeds mail to British forces abroad

The department of commerce reports micro-photography is speeding mail between Great Britain and British armed forces in the Middle East, improving delivery times for service members overseas.

Bible Dedication and Organ Recital at Ward Street Church

A pulpit Bible, donated by M. W. Nash, local attorney and clerk of the High Point Municipal Court, will be dedicated at morning worship at Ward Street Methodist Church. An organ recital by Prof. H. Easley of Burlington will follow in the 8 gee Sunday evening, with Rev. J. E. McSwain inviting the public to attend both services.
