Zoners Reject Five Points Retail Zone Expansion
The city planning and zoning commission rejected extending the Five Points neighborhood retail zone to include two Montlieu Ave lots owned by W. L. Hunt and M. T. Corn. They cited homeowner rights and vacant property within the existing zone. The panel deferred action on Curtis Smithdeal’s Centennial and FE Lexington Aves project to develop a modern wing center. It approved an off street parking ordinance and three subdivision maps but denied one proposal to combine a large lot into two small ones.
