In Jacksonville North Carolina three Camp Lejeune Marines David F Ray Bobby Bennett and Connie Ivory Jr pleaded guilty to second degree rape for raping a 15 year old girl last May and received 16 to 20 year prison terms. Nathaniel Griffin pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting second degree rape and drew 12 to 16 years. Henry Vega will be tried for first degree rape. Another Marine David Michael Ellis remains in hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
