Charlotte College seeks 8 million to join UNC system
Charlotte College will request 8 million dollars from the State Advisory Budget Commission next week to move toward university status. The college, already elevated to four year rank in 1963, is in a 3.3 million construction program funded in 1963. A committee from UNC studied Charlotte College as a potential fourth branch and may urge UNC trustees to seek adding the college in 1965.
