The Pathfinder monoplane was sighted over Rome at 9:30 p.m. local time after a long transatlantic flight. Reports logistic updates place the plane over Parma and Biarritz en route toward Pau as it heads toward Ciampino air field near Rome.
Approximately 40 to 60 people were injured, seven seriously, when five cars derailed from the Atlantic Coast Line northbound Florida to New York train two miles north of Enfield, North Carolina. A sun kink in rails caused the accident as track cooled then heated.
