University doctors describe athlete’s foot prevalence
G T Stafford and C C Jackson of the University of Illinois report in Hygeia that at least half of school children show athlete’s foot at some point. They note most adults have it several times, usually mild, based on armed forces and college exam records. Footbaths fail to kill spores due to insufficient contact.
