Her funeral was at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sechrest Chapel with Dr. Ben Brown officiating. Burial followed at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. pallbearers named.

Drowning of Archdale Boy At Old Rock Crusher Quarry
A Archdale youth Roylce Cleveland Garrell 11 drowned after entering the Old Rock Crusher quarry near Lexington. Deputies say the body was pulled from icy waters around 6:15 p.m. and taken to Lexington Memorial Hospital. Garrell, son of Mr and Mrs Shelton Garrell of 205 Kersey Drive Archdale, was identified by Davidson County Coroner Dr. Robert T. Chambers. The quarry, six miles south of Lexington off Highway 8, was previously used for gravel. Swimmers are allowed in the area.
