Double Funeral Set For Victims Of Fire
A double funeral will be held for Colonel Walter Taylor and Daisey White Taylor at Glenora Baptist Church. The couple died in a fire at their Randolph County home near Mount Vernon on Flint Hill Road. Firefighters found the bodies after arriving at 5 am to a collapsed two room dwelling. Coroner Julian Brady suggested smoke asphyxiation and burning as likely causes, with kerosene or a similar liquid blamed for the blaze. The Guild Rand volunteers noted the home was occupied.
