Corinth as Example of Gospel Power in Achaian Life
In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, the city’s luxuriously immoral backdrop is used to illustrate the transforming power of the Gospel. Though baptized, the church members remained fleshly, “babes in Christ,” torn by strife and lacking true Christian love, as Paul rebuked their carnality and factions. The passage emphasizes rebirth through the Holy Spirit, unity in Christ, and the necessity of faith for true happiness.
