Helen of Greece Queen of Romania in Name Only
In Romania, Helen, former Greek princess, is queen by marriage to King Carol II but lives apart from him. Carol's affairs with Zizi Lambrino and Madame Lupescu led to heir Michael’s brief throne, divorce, and Carol’s 1925 elopement to Paris. Helen endured exile, scandal, and sorrow while caring for her son and pursuing Red Cross work.
