Ocean floor mud built from tiny sea creature skeletons
A soft oozy mud covers the ocean floor to 12 000 feet depth. It consists of limy skeletons from minute sea animals. It forms largely in the Atlantic and in smaller amounts in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This mud has contributed to massive deposits rich in lime.
