Hauptmann Letters Presented In Fisch Case Evidence

In Flemington New Jersey on May 29 1935 state prosecutors introduced German letters from Bruno Richard Hauptmann to Isador Fisch the dead partner in a fur stock venture. The letters describe business ties and the pairing of a venture in skins and securities and outline how Fisch supported Hauptmann with funds. One letter dated May 4 1934 and translated at Princeton describes friendship and a proposed joint business plan. A second July 8 1934 letter concerns a power of attorney for Fisch affairs and its futility.

Daughter says she witnessed mother’s slaying by former employer

Miss Ouida Keeton 33 confessed to Jones county officers that she saw her mother Mrs Daisy Keeton 52 killed by W M Carter 65 a Laurel businessman with an iron poker.
