Secretary of State Dulles argued against Molotov's five power conference idea, saying it would replace the United Nations with a council of five and fail to solve global issues. Western ministers rejected the plan yet sought cautious steps toward peace in Indochina and a potential settlement.

He opened the Charlotte bank account with 125 cash and deposited a 4100 phony Canadian check while clearance continued, then withdrew 1000 plus further checks and vanished.
