A former army air forces lieutenant, Martin James Monti, 27, of Florissant Missouri, is held on treason charges in New York for allegedly broadcasting Nazi propaganda from Berlin under the name Martin Wiethaupt. Three Die as Dust Storm Crash Sparks Fatal Blaze
In Deming New Mexico a dust storm caused a car pileup at night. gas tanks and a bottled gas tank in a house trailer exploded. Three people were killed two others injured.
