Chase Ends In Wreckage As 14 Year Olds Looted Car
Two 14 year old boys from Virginia stole a car near a Reidsville church Sunday noon. A high speed chase with State Patrol ended when the vehicle crashed into trees west of Ramseur and burst into flames. Both youths were injured with a fractured pelvis and injuries. they were found two hours later and taken to Randolph Hospital.

Five Arrested On Charges of Gambling
Sheriff deputies raided a three room cabin in Lexington and arrested James Elliott 31 of North Carolina and Dewey I Hyatt 43 Thomas Hedrick 24 Roy Thompson 25 and Roy Prevett 26 all Lexington residents on gambling charges. A small sum of money and cards were found on a table and some cash was hurriedly hidden as officers arrived. Elliott claimed the cabin was rented by him while Hyatt said it belonged to him.
