In Lincoln Nebraska AP reports a pedometer used during a teen dance event recorded seven miles after a night of dancing by Suzie and five Nebraska coeds. The device showed a seven percent mile reading for the full evening and a one and a half mile total during a 15 minute period as they did the jerk the swim and the watusi.
The 4th Circuit vacated a Raleigh district court ruling and ordered Joe B. Driver of Durham NC released from imminent custody unless the state seeks civil remedial custody for medical treatment within 10 days. The decision held that merely excessive voluntary drinkers are not criminally liable.
