Three Cleveland area men were charged with federal offenses linked to the murders of Joseph Yablonski and his wife and daughter in Clarksville Pennsylvania. The suspects Paul Gilly Aubran Martin and Claude Vealey were jailed in Cleveland area facilities and faced Commissioner hearings on interference with union rights and obstruction of justice. An additional court action cited weapons across state lines.
Talks between Britain and Libya’s revolutionary government began in Tripoli on defense cooperation focusing on a contract to supply 188 British Chieftain tanks.
