Light colors and smooth surfaces aid easier work and durable moisture resistant countertops are advised with vinyl laminates steel ceramic tile marble and wood among common options. Floor coverings should resist wear moisture and stains and be quiet and non slip with vinyl or ceramic tile recommended for long wear. Cabinets may be natural wood or enamel finished or laminated plastics with steel cabinets baked enamel finish. Walls often use glass enamel or vinyl coated fabric and ceilings should be painted light for maximum light reflection.
