Fabiani led the Rome spring and summer fashion show final day with superior expertise and elegance. Other houses on Thursday night offered fine clothes, but Fabiani revived smart little suits, putting them back on the fashion map.
Models wore cocktail hats and bar men white giles with Fabiani tent coats and spinning tent dresses. Flower prints gained prominence with crepe sweaters and pleated skirts as tortoise shell trim and low patent shoes accent the look. Fontana Sisters showcased resort wear while Riva earned top marks for an impeccable shirt based collection with lace and floral organza for evening.
The Randolph Macon Woman s College Alumnae Assn of Greensboro High Point sponsors a three week exhibition of the college s art collection at Witherspoon Gallery from February 12. The show runs 2 to 5 p m Sundays and on gallery hours weekdays. The 33 paintings range from early 19th century to present and illustrate American art over 200 years. It is described as among the finest collections in a Southern college movement.
