Rosa Lind Elaine Roach daughter of Ellis H Roach and Charles David Hunsucker son of C M Hunsucker Jr were married at 11 am in First Methodist Church. Rev Douglas Corrider officiated with organist Dan Smith. Guests from many cities attended as two pre wedding events were held at the Roach home.

The Xi Psi exemplar chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met at the P. A. Ledberry home on Arlington Avenue where Mr. and Mrs. Hector Delgado and their son George spoke on Cuba. Delgado described life in Havana, traced Cuba’s history, and shared personal ties. The group announced a spaghetti supper fundraiser on Feb 23 to aid underprivileged school lunches.

at last night's meeting of the Women of the Moose the local chapter announced hosting the mid winter conference on Sunday Jan 27 with a noon luncheon and a 1 30 pm business session. the Loyal Order of the Moose and the auxiliary sponsor a February 2 March of Dimes dance at the lodge with all proceeds to the drive. auxiliary members will serve as stand by substitutes for the Mother's March. meeting was at the Moose Lodge.

Miss Caughman Performs For Musical Art Club
Miss Patsy Caughman presented a piano program at the home of Mrs. Sidney Gayle on Country Club Drive. Selections included Bach and Brabins works plus Beethoven Intermezzo Op 118 and Ballade. The club expanded its scholarship program and plans to honor the Virginia Frank Memorial Fund. Forty five members and guests attended with refreshments served.
