Dorothy Lewis Performs Compelling Recital at National Gallery
Washington reviewer notes Dorothy Lewis born in High Point North Carolina trained at Juilliard and in Europe gave a recital at the National Gallery of Art. Her program mixed classical and modern works none newer than 1955 with warm tone and limited dynamics. The Starer sonata and Ginastera dances stood out while the Indian titled pieces felt exotic and wistful.
