Snow Hits The Triad As Storm Stretches Across North Carolina
The National Weather Service issued a travelers advisory for most of North Carolina as a low pressure system moved in from the Midwest. Snow spread from Asheville to Charlotte and Columbia with 1 to 3 inches expected in mountains and about 1 inch in foothills Piedmont and coast. Driving conditions were forecast to be hazardous as the storm advanced eastward and was expected to end by nightfall on reaching the coast.
