North Carolina Sets Cold Records Across State

An arctic mass brought record cold to North Carolina with a 14 degree high in Charlotte and a 29 degree low in Raleigh Durham. The day set a new January 18th cold high record of 33 in 1959 and a record low of 30 for the date was equalled at Raleigh Durham by midnight.
