Solve A Crime Solution

Mr Crandall won money at cards proving his wife was not the thief. Mrs Crandall played cards, so the guest who worked on the puzzle must be Mrs Arnsby. With Mrs Blair and Mrs Arnsby not playing cards, either of their husbands could be thief. If Mr Crandall had paralysis of the hands he could not golf with Mr Blair or thief. This leaves Mrs Blair and Mrs Arnsby. Since Mr Blair had not met Mrs Arnsby before last evening he could not have golfed with her earlier, eliminating Mrs Arnsby. Therefore the thief is Mrs Blair.
