Negro Youth Faces Life Trial At Open Superior Court
James Edward Dumas, a 19 year old Black High Point resident, goes on trial for life in a two week criminal term of Superior Court opening tomorrow for first degree rifle slaying of a 16 year old friend on New Year’s Day. Court will also try Olin Goodwin for a fatal shooting of his cousin. Judge Malcolm C. Paul presides with Horace R. Kornegay as solicitor.
