A. A. F. Seawell was appointed attorney general of North Carolina to succeed Dennis G. Brummitt who died Saturday. Seawell, 70, has served as assistant AG since 1931 and will hold the post until the 1937 term after the 1936 election. He is a veteran legislator and UNC graduate with Chapel Hill residence.
