Underground France poised for fifth column uprising
Amid Nazi occupation the French underground expands with cells, newspapers, and supply depots. Agents cross the Channel and parachute in weapons and instructions as the invasion looms. When Allied landings begin, resistance churches into full-scale uprising. Dieppe showed French fighters joined the effort until Allied signals confirmed the invasion.
