Cleaning Tea Stains and Ancient Water Power

Tea stains on chinaware result from tannin and hard water and can be removed with a mild abrasive like baking soda or household bleach. After removing the stain, wash dishes in hot soapy water and rinse well. A pound of high quality steel used for watch springs could be eight miles long and valued at $60,000. Water power was first harnessed by the ancient Egyptians using simple wheels to lift water for irrigation, with early Greek experiments occurring centuries before Christ.
