Washington January 12 P New ways to expedite action on the bonus social security nuisance tax extension and the Presidents relief appropriations were mapped today by congressional leaders. Chicago January 12. The American Railway Labor Executives association renewed its demand for a six hour day and shorter trains with larger crews while opposing mergers. They plan to push bills to reemploy about one million workers and relax liability limits, track maintenance, and signal supervision. Joseph B. Eastman warned such changes would raise railroad costs and threaten solvency.
Bruno Richard Hauptmann will testify with seven questions and six no answers in his bid to avoid the electric chair. His wife Anna will be next and the defense seeks similar treatment as with Mrs. Lindbergh. The seven questions include if he kidnapped the Lindbergh baby and if he wrote the ransom notes.

He had been robbed of his weekly pay watch pistol and plant keys. He was shot in the back with a shotgun and beaten with a blunt instrument. Henry Jones a fellow worker found the body about 11 45 p m the killer remains at large.
Detroit January 12 The National Union for Social Justice led by Father Coughlin unites with Sen Elmer Thomas to draft a program urging coinage reform and banking nationalization. They seek to recapture control of currency and credit to favor human rights over property rights.
