Randolph Young Wife Is Shot To Death

A coroner's jury at the crime scene in Trinity heard Jim Hill deny this evening killing his wife Lula Hill 25 mother of two while their children insisted their father shot her. The jury probed the roof for the bullet as authorities noted an insurance policy naming Hill and a later change to make it payable to the children. Hill claimed memory gaps and said he was out of the house when the shooting occurred. Charlie Shore denied being with him. A Rusvanad furniture worker, jailed at Asheboro after being arrested at the scene, was described as intoxicated. The inquest adjourned to reconvene at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
