Mrs Marnie Etta Poteat Dale 57 of 2203 Edgewood Ave died 9 15 p m yesterday at High Point Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born Morganton Sept 2 1902 she was a daughter of John H and Carrie Poteat a High Point resident 25 years member of The Lord's Tabernacle married Jan 1 1921 to J H Dale survivors include three sons Jackson R Johnny E Bennett C Dale sister Hazel Muse Morganton brothers Charles G Clifford Poteat Morganton and Ed Poteat Spencer and three grandchildren Funeral services will be at The Lord's Tabernacle with Rev J R Reece and Rev Johnny Jany officiating and burial at Forest Hill Cemetery Morganton

Farmers May Draw Disability Funds In April
Disabled farmers fifty years old may be entitled to draw Social Security payments in April according to Ruth Duffy manager of the High Point Social Security Office. To qualify a farmer must have 20 quarters of earnings under Social Security and be so disabled they cannot do substantial work. Benefits begin after six months of disability. Since farmers were not covered until 1955 April 1960 is the first eligible month for many. Severely disabled farmers should contact their nearest Social Security office. High Point Social Security Office at 118 W Russell St hours 9 to 5 Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Vandals Damage Principal's Auto at Penn School

Baptist Board Sets First Meeting of Year in Raleigh
