In Raleigh from the 1970s experts urge parents to talk openly about sex. Mrs. Faye Haywood of NC State says times changed and teens discuss sex everywhere with peers. Parents should explain risks, foster trust, respect, and communication to reduce casual sex.
High Point Camellia Club meets Thursday at 10 a.m. in the library audio-visuals room. Mrs. Carroll Martin presents Basic Gardening and introduces new gardening books. Hostesses are Mrs. John Pickett and Mrs. E L Grimsley.
The Trindale Woman's Club will gather Monday at Trinity Methodist Church hut with a 6 p.m. board session and a 6:45 p.m. general meeting. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Issac Harris.
Members of the Alexander Martin chapter DAR will meet Tuesday at noon for lunch in the Gold Room of the Sheraton Hotel. Mrs. James Hogg was the chairman of the hostess committee. The board will meet at 11 45 a.m.
